Lightfair International 2017
To create an economical yet immersive experience for distributors, wholesalers, merchandisers and other lighting professionals at Lightfair International while effectively representing the 22 brands and 750 product offerings under the Acuity Brands umbrella.
A design that incorporated existing properties to create five distinct environments, each demonstrating how Acuity Brands’ multitude of products could be utilized in different settings such as classrooms, offices, retail, residential and industrial.
Lightfair International is the largest gathering of lighting professionals in North America, making it Acuity Brands’ most important trade show of the year. To demonstrate the extent of their solutions and position themselves as a market leader in the lighting industry, Acuity Brands required a display that was both engaging and versatile.
The use of pods ensured each of the five solution environments could be sized and configured depending on need. Each immersive pod was able to house several vignettes displaying light fixtures in different settings to showcase Acuity Brands diverse solution set.
The design featured clear sightlines into the booth by utilizing simple but impactful signage. The focal point, however, was the 20’ x 20’ LED “light cloud” hovering above the space. Directly underneath the cloud, a presentation wall combined brand messaging with three 55-inch touchscreen monitors to introduce guests to the Acuity Brands universe.
An additional 20 touchscreen monitors were pre-loaded with content and strategically placed throughout the booth to further educate visitors on Acuity Brands’ products and solutions.
On opening day, the exhibit hosted a new brand rollout event for the media. Every monitor was synchronized to play video clips promoting the product followed by a presentation from Acuity Brands’ CEO. Moving lights were also employed to project the new brand’s logo throughout the booth.
Both the brand rollout and the space design were successful in capturing attention, generating interest and creating a buzz-worthy experience.
