AES Annual Meeting 2016
To promote LivaNova’s VNS Therapy system, demonstrate the science behind the AspireSR device and showcase the company’s commitment to finding innovative solutions to support the epilepsy community.
A fresh design that incorporated custom rentals and technology to engage attendees and communicate the unique benefits of LivaNova’s VNS Therapy system.
We combined newly developed components with rentals and refurbished elements to create an upgraded look without an upgraded fee. This included re-engineering two L-shaped signs into one U-shaped sign to enhance the overall visual presence and conform to the new design aesthetic.
We incorporated technology—such as LED panels, augmented reality and 3D projection—to prominently display LivaNova’s overall VNS Therapy system message and demonstrate how AspireSR works. The technology was strategically placed throughout the booth to draw the attending physicians in and keep them engaged once they entered the space.
The front of the booth contained two augmented reality experience displays featuring a transparent human torso to educate participants on the mechanics and benefits of AspireSR. The participants could pick up an iPad and aim it at the image, triggering a simulation of increased heart rate and brain activity associated with an epileptic seizure. The animation also included embedded content describing how AspireSR aided a person having a seizure.
Two U-shaped counters, one for hospitality and one for hosting an additional augmented reality experience, were also located near the entrance.
Towards the back of the space was an interactive photo engagement with lead capture. Visitors could walk up to a TV equipped with a camera, scan their badge and have their image superimposed onto various Houston-themed characters, such as a cowboy and an astronaut. Included with their photo keepsake was a code for a free Uber ride.
LivaNova is well known for delivering innovative health care solutions. To accomplish their objectives, we had to develop a few innovative solutions of our own. This included executing a customer engagement strategy that resulted in capturing 641 leads from neurologists, epileptologists and primary care physicians.
The tactical use of technology not only allowed us to capture leads, but it also enabled us to entertain while providing useful, potentially life-changing information.
